For designing a convenient phone holder into the center console. An iPhone fits perfectly in the shifter hole of the TA, doesn’t interfere with shifts at all.
Also having a manual trans totally changes the character of the car, it’s so much more fun to drive now.

Perfect, other than the fact that you have to look at the floor for directions.
Maybe see if Amazon has an 8-Track version of the CD-slot phone holder!
If only EssExTee could be so grossly incandescent

40 years ahead of their time. What arcane rituals were they performing in the 70s?

I thought that was just where people put their bags of Cheetos.

Mine sits very nicely on the ledge in front of the gauge cluster on my Odyssey, or in front of the useless tach on my wife’s Civic. No need for a fancy phone holder.

If there could possibly by a better 8 track to have in there than the Eagles, I can’t imagine it.

So now you need to get one of those 8-track to cassette adapters, then a cassette to 3.5 mm adapter and a 3.5 mm to Bluetooth adapter so you can play your iPhone wirelessly without having to change the head unit...

That shifter doesn’t bother you?
Rotate it 30 degrees clockwise and see if you like it better.
Take it easy.

I thought it would feel like shite but I liked that set up. Clutch on my Camaro was light. The throw out bearing was audible even though it was new...

It’s a weird photo angle. Shifter falls perfectly into the hand when you’re sitting.

There are actually bluetooth cassette players:
However, a bluetooth FM transmitter, like the isimple tranzitblu, would get rid of all that nonsense. Plugs into the headunit FM antennae jack in the back on any headunit and just needs a 12volt power input and voila. Bluetooth without any visible gizmo's. Put one in my 98 LS400 and its excellent

I’ve used the RF modulator to good effect on the E34 and Windscar. It was a little tougher in Los Angeles as there weren’t many frequencies that didn’t have a station.
I was just taking things to silly extremes with the multiple gadget option. Years ago, just to see if it could be done, I ran an HP 12C emulator on a Commodore 64 emulator that was running on a PC emulator on my Macintosh. Sure, there were easier ways of doing this, but I just wanted to see how many nested layers of emulation I could run.

M modulator seems to overpower even stations that come in clearly. But a blank station is surely the way to go.
Thats a lot of emulation. Any ridiculous lag?

It was about 20 years ago so I don’t remember all of the details, but yeah, given the power of computers back then there was quite a bit of lag introduced with each level, especially Mac to Windows as I think I was running it on a 450 MHz G4. It probably would have been quicker to go to the store and buy 12C than it was to emulate it like this (well, not that bad, but you get the picture...)

I remember trying to get an emulator for ps2 to work on windows. I think it needed to be a 32 bit version, and was going to run like garbage so I gave up. Its a really cool idea though, amazing what the computer savvy figure out
